Thailand?s top energy firm PTT Pcl said it has agreed with three suppliers to import 1 million tonnes of liquefied natural gas (LNG) for a commercial run of the country?s first LNG terminal in the next 12 months, its executive said on Monday.
The first lot of 70,000-80,000 tonnes of LNG will arrive in July when the terminal, also the first in Southeast Asia, is due to begin commercial operations, Wichai Pornkeratiwat, senior executive for its gas business, told reporters.
He did not give details about the three suppliers.
The one-million-tonne of imports will not include the four shipments PTT planned earlier.
