Lisa Wigmore brings a zest for life and a bubbling stream of joyful energy with her to Holy Trinity, Horfield where she will serve her curacy. 
Having turned her back on God in her teens, Lisa says it was only later that ?God and the Church grabbed hold of her again?. Trying to live life on her own was like existing in a world painted in shades of grey.
?Now,? she says, ?life is life as it should be, life in all its fullness: the grey has been transposed into vivid technicolour.?
Lisa has been in sales all her life, whether it be selling cars, cards, crisps, catheters, or Avon products, and key to it all has been the creation of strong relationships.
This commitment to relationship is earthed in her sense of her identity in God. Over the last few years God has given her three special pictures of herself in him that encapsulate her inner sense of security and freedom: a gurgling baby bouncing on his knee; a young woman dancing in a field of flowers, and then sitting quietly at his feet with her head on his knee.
Now called to ?make disciples? in the life and service of Christ?s Church, she has a different sales pitch, but the same commitment to building strong relationships.
?God has called me to himself, met and formed me through the Church of His people who are, as Teresa of Avila would say, Christ?s very hands and feet, his eyes and body. His purposes for me are unfolding day by day, to be the person He fully intended me to be.?
