Mobile advertising company Big Mobile, Australia expands with new ...

Big Mobile image.jpgMobile advertising company Big Mobile has made a number of senior appointments and added two leading publishers to its Big Audience+ premium network, consolidating its position as the premier end-to-end mobile advertising business in Australia.

Big Mobile has added Australia's number one property website realestate.com.au, and CBS Interactive to its portfolio that now reaches 14 million Australians through more than 80 premium sites and apps across smartphones and tablets.

Meanwhile Big Mobile sales director Rob Hall has been promoted to the newly created role of managing director for Australasia, a recognition of Big Mobile's maturing and rapidly growing business, while Angus Keene a group sales manager at Fairfax Media has been hired as New South Wales state sales manager.

Hall joined Big Mobile in 2009 rising through the ranks to become Australasia sales director in the first half of 2012. He now takes charge of day-to-day operations for the business across Australia and New Zealand.

Says Graham Christie, group commercial director and partner at Big Mobile: "The continued expansion of the business in Australia and New Zealand and our plans for future growth in South East Asia means the time is right for us to put in place a dedicated leader for the local business."

Keene joins Big Mobile from Fairfax where he was most recently group sales manager of one of its cross-platform sales team. He has more than ten years experience in sales, media and management and has worked at Fairfax since 2006. He starts in March.

In addition realestate.com.au - ranked the fourth most visited mobile site in Australia by Nielsen Market Intelligence (July 2012) with a total of 3.29 million visits - is the latest high profile publisher to join Big Mobile's premium mobile advertising network.

CBS Interactive a global top ten internet player and leader in Australia for gaming, consumer technology and business IT news and information with sites including CNET, ZDNet and GameSpot, has also joined the Big Audience+ network.

Says Christie: "The scale and complexity of our premium audience reach matches the relevancy we can inject into delivering targeted advertising solutions. Our ambition for the group is simple, to continue to lead our markets in world-class mobile advertising.

Big Mobile was named 2012 Digital Services Company of the Year at the B&T Awards, the award it also won in 2010.

It has offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Auckland, Jakarta and is soon to open in Singapore. Advertisers it has worked with include American Express,Emirates, Jaguar, Clearasil, BT, Commonwealth Bank, and Coca-Cola.
