Obama, security team review anti-terror efforts (AP)

WASHINGTON ? President Barack Obama assembled his national security team to review U.S. efforts against potential terrorist threats and the steps taken to protect the country in advance of Sunday's 10th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks.

The White House says Obama asked officials to be vigorous in pursuing all leads about potential threats and to make sure there's a heightened state of vigilance before all the events Sunday.

A White House statement says the president also told his team Saturday that the U.S. can't afford to relax counterterrorism efforts in the weeks and months ahead.
